The Argument

A performance underway on the concrete behind a green board-and-batten house. At the left a person in a denim vest and plaid shirt kneels on the ground working a chisel into a board. We played the show, last night, Me n Jack. They’re calling it ‘a clean show’.

Regardless, a few pictures were taken.

The idea for The Argument was born on a bike ride with Adam on 4/20.

Closer on the same kneeling figure — denim vest over a red and white plaid shirt, black cap, dark curls — driving a chisel into a length of split fir. A red mallet lies on the concrete beside broken boards and a wooden mallet, a green drum at the edge of the frame, and a small watermelon with a wire taped into its top sits in the grass.
